When your sneakers have reached the end of their journey, send them back through our take-back program. We’ll grind and compost them into nutrient-rich soil. Even if they end up elsewhere, every pair is designed to break down safely. Fade 101 completes its story by fading beautifully back into nature.

Every Fade 101 is made from compost-capable materials. The chrome-free leather upper, knitted-to-shape lining, and laces made from wood pulp are designed to safely return to nature. Lace tips are waste-free and compostable. The midsole foam and pure tree-rubber outsole deliver natural comfort and grip without compromise. Each component is screened for over 200 harmful substances and certified safe for plant growth after composting.

Care: Keep it simple. Open the laces before putting them on, wipe clean with a damp cloth, and avoid chemicals, sprays, or washing machines. Store them in a dry, cool space to let the natural materials breathe. The simpler the care, the longer your SOLKs will live before they return safely to the earth.
