The Fade 101 is the first step towards a new era of sneakers. Built from 14 carefully selected materials that are as premium as they are responsible. Chrome-free leather from Germany, lightweight knitted linings from plant fibres, and a foamed natural rubber sole create a look that feels understated, refined, and radically new. Every element is tested for compostability, safety and return to nature.

We spent years researching partners, refining sourcing standards and testing every fibre for safety, performance and end-of-life impact. From tanning methods to glue formulas, from lace tips to stitch threads — nothing was too small to matter. Because real change starts in the details.

The day you finally let go of your Fade 101, it’s only halftime for the shoe. Because this is when every decision in its making starts to pay off. Only a product that’s ultimately harmless in both materials and processes can safely enter our controlled, systemic composting loop.
To return to nature, it takes more than a big shredder and time. So we got some organic agents like horse manure, straw, coffee grounds, beneficial microbes. They don’t just accelerate decay. They activate life. What remains is a pile that even industrial composting facilities are happy to take. Clean. Non-toxic. Rich in nutrients. Ready to become soil – for gardens, for new ideas, for whatever comes next.
